Journey to the Meaning of Love offers a collection of poems that follow the progress of a soul's quest to understand and come to terms with romantic love and the nature of the heart. They appear in four sections, beginning with experiences and observations of love as desire, yearning, gratification or pain, moving to a more detached awareness of human interactions and needs, evolving to a deeper understanding and acceptance of the balance of opposites which leads ultimately to the recognition of love as a spiritual path, resulting in compassionate union that expresses Divine Love for all that is. (Critiquing the carbonara)

Critiquing the carbonara over a glass of red –

crumbled bacon, beaten egg and cream smothered pasta

perfectly al dente, served with wilted greens.

We rate it high, but don’t pass judgment on our

spiced conversation, pungent laughter, sweet camaraderie

dipped in confections of delight;

under observation, these incomparable ingredients might sour.
